Aminuddin calls NS EXCO announcement an act of ‘derhaka’, seeks legal action

Former Negeri Sembilan Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Utama Aminuddin Harun has accused state executive councillors (EXCO) of an "act of 'derhaka'" for announcing a position on Tuanku Muhriz ibni Almarhum Tuanku Munawir's position without his consent. He urged authorities to take legal steps against all EXCO members involved in the Sept 16 announcement.

Aminuddin said the announcement contradicted the state government's stance just seven days earlier, claiming the proclamation was invalid and unconstitutional. He further stated that the proclamation was presented to him for signature on April 20, when he was Menteri Besar, but he refused to sign it, citing Article 10(2) of the Negeri Sembilan Constitution.

Aminuddin also highlighted the involvement of Mubarak bin Dohak, who he claimed was no longer Undang Luak Sungai Ujong when the proclamation was made. He rejected a judicial review application's claim that he had attended a meeting and conducted a complete inquiry. Aminuddin further questioned the reversal of the state government's position on the proclamation's status and the selection of a successor to Tuanku Muhriz.

He affirmed Tuanku Muhriz's position as the sole Yang di-Pertuan Besar of Negeri Sembilan and called the EXCO members' announcement an act of "derhaka."
