Snap Specs launch LIVE: everything you need to know about Snapchat's new AR glasses
Snap Specs are finally officially launching alongside a new AI platform that is meant to "anticipate" your needs.
Snap officially unveiled its AR glasses, named Specs, at AWE 2026 in June. The initial launch was delayed until now. Snap highlighted that Specs marks a significant shift from phones to glasses, stating that it's not just about transferring the apps present on phones to the glasses. During the official launch event today, Snap revealed more details about the chunky smart glasses and hinted at the inclusion of new Lenses and features.
They expect to share further information about the Specs, AR capabilities, and user experience during the event.
