Helicopter crashes and kills at least 3 people near a bus crash in Los Angeles

A helicopter crashed in Los Angeles on Tuesday, resulting in at least three fatalities near a fatal bus crash, according to officials. Another individual was transported to the hospital, but their condition remained uncertain. It was unclear whether some of the deceased had been aboard the helicopter. At least one person lost their life outside the helicopter in a parking lot, as stated by Los Angeles Fire Department Captain Branden Silverman during a press conference.

Authorities are still determining the number of passengers inside the aircraft. The helicopter struck a parking lot containing parked vehicles, likely belonging to a large one-story building. Over 50 firefighters attended to the scene, extinguishing a fire that had damaged four vehicles and two storage containers by Tuesday evening.

The National Transportation Safety Board and the Federal Aviation Administration will lead the investigation. Earlier, two people were killed and six others injured when an SUV collided with a city bus in Los Angeles, according to officials.
