Chatsworth Los Angeles metro bus crash videos: Chilling visuals as 2 killed, many hurt after SUV ploughs into vehicle

On September 15, a devastating crash occurred in the Chatsworth neighborhood of Los Angeles, California, resulting in at least two fatalities and numerous injuries. The collision took place at the intersection of West Nordhoff Street and De Soto Avenue around 5pm, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department. An SUV and a Metro bus were involved in the accident.

Initial reports suggest the SUV was a Ford. Chilling videos captured the moment the SUV struck the left side of the bus, with one showing the vehicle stuck in the bus and another displaying emergency personnel at the scene. Six people were taken to the hospital for their injuries, with one person reportedly trapped under the SUV.

West Nordhoff Street and De Soto Avenue are now shut down as investigators and emergency crews work to clear the scene. The incident has sparked questions about traffic safety in the San Fernando Valley, with residents voicing concerns about speeding cameras and the need for improved safety measures on dangerous roads. Los Angeles County Supervisor Lindsey P. Horvath expressed her grief, stating that her office is in close contact with local authorities and Metro to understand the circumstances and provide necessary support.
