Helicopter crash kills at least 3 people in Los Angeles

On Tuesday, a helicopter crash in Los Angeles resulted in at least three fatalities, according to US officials. The incident occurred in a parking lot adjacent to a small building, striking several parked vehicles. A fourth individual was transported to the hospital, though their condition remains unknown. The Los Angeles Fire Department (LAFD) is still investigating the cause and determining the total number of people on board the aircraft.

Captain Branden Silverman, a LAFD spokesperson, confirmed that one victim was outside the helicopter when the crash occurred. He also revealed that authorities are working to ascertain how many occupants were inside the helicopter. The crash site was situated near a separate fatal bus accident, although the relationship between the two events remains unclear at this time.

More than 50 firefighters responded to the helicopter crash, which caused significant damage to four vehicles and two storage containers. However, the fire was extinguished by Tuesday evening. The National Transportation Safety Board and the Federal Aviation Administration will lead the investigation into the matter.

Earlier that day, a separate accident took place when an SUV collided with an MTA bus, claiming the lives of two people and injuring six others. Photos and videos shared online depicted a significant portion of the SUV lodged into the side of the bus, with a large team of firefighters attending to the wreckage.
