Three injured as container truck crashes on Lagos-Ibadan Expressway

A 40ft container truck crashed on the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway near Mowe, Ogun State, resulting in three injuries, according to the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA). The incident occurred on Kara Bridge, near the ENYO Filling Station, at the expansion joint. LASTMA reported that the truck experienced brake failure before colliding with demarcation blocks and other vehicles at the bridge's exit.

Three individuals were transported to an emergency center for medical treatment. The expressway was initially closed, and counterflow traffic control measures were implemented to manage traffic flow. LASTMA's personnel, alongside police officers from Isheri and officials of the Federal Road Safety Corps, were on the scene to manage the situation.

Recovery operations were completed, and the roadway was fully cleared, allowing traffic to resume, although a backlog of vehicles remained.
