NASIEC fixes date for councillorship bye-election in Nasarawa

The Nasarawa State Independent Electoral Commission, NASIEC, has set October 15 for the councilorship bye-election in Katakpa Ward of Toto Local Government Area. This decision came after the death of the existing councillor, leaving a vacant position. The announcement was made by the Secretary to the Commission, Dahiru Hudu-Musa, on behalf of the Chairman, Ayuba Wandai.

The election will take place across all designated polling units in Katakpa Ward, following the commission's guidelines. NASIEC appealed to all eligible voters, political entities, candidates, community leaders, security forces, observers, and other stakeholders to collaborate for a peaceful, fair, and transparent election. They urged voters to participate in the democratic process by casting their ballots for their preferred candidates.
