Ukraine: „Kein Win-Win zwischen Kommunismus und Demokratie“ – US-Senator attackiert Kushner

Kiew, Ukraine - Republican US Senator Thom Tillis has voiced his dissent over recent ceasefire talks involving Russia's President Vladimir Putin. During a visit to Kiev, Tillis indirectly criticized US negotiators Steve Witskooff and Jared Kushner, stating, "I don't believe you can have a win-win outcome between Communism and Democracy."

In the Russian aggression against Ukraine, there should be "a clear winner and a clear loser," Tillis added, reaffirming his desire for Putin to fail at the negotiating table. The "win-win" statement was made by Kushner's stepson, Jared Kushner, a week prior to the pair's meetings in Moscow and Kiev. The visit of the two negotiators to Moscow sparked concern in Ukraine that the Trump administration might be overly influenced by the Kremlin.

Tillis, along with his fellow Senators Alan Armstrong and John Curtis, attended the annual Yalta European Strategy (YES) security conference in Kiev. Due to security reasons, the reporting of the event was delayed until after the conclusion of the two-day gathering.
