Temu Vijay masih dalam perancangan, kata PM

Perdana Menteri Malaysia Anwar Ibrahim stated that plans for a two-way meeting with Tamil Nadu Chief Minister C Joseph Vijay are still in development, according to a Thanthi TV exclusive interview. The prime minister, currently in India, was originally scheduled to conduct a work visit to Chennai after attending the 18th BRICS Leaders Summit, before heading to Kerala, another southern Indian state.

However, the visit to Chennai was canceled at the last moment. Anwar clarified that Chennai did provide a response, explaining that his office had tried to synchronize his schedule as he had previous commitments, and only had limited time between his visits to New Delhi, Kerala, and the Maldives. Despite this, Vijay attempted to adapt his schedule and had planned investments and programs.

As a result, Anwar informed Vijay that he would proceed to Kerala and the Maldives, unable to continue with the tour to Tamil Nadu. In the wide-ranging interview, the prime minister also provided an open assessment of Vijay, praising his early momentum and appeal among young voters, while urging a long-term approach to value-based leadership, patience, and practical wisdom.

Anwar met Vijay upon his arrival in Tamil Nadu and described him as a fresh voice for rational, principled, and good governance thinking. The prime minister praised Vijay's approach, particularly his efforts towards modernization, improvement, and addressing issues of poverty and corruption.
