Anthony Loke calls for Pakatan Presidential Council meeting to discuss recent political developments after Umno assembly

Sungai Buloh, September 14 — DAP secretary-general Anthony Loke has announced his intention to propose a meeting of the Pakatan Harapan (PH) Presidential Council to discuss recent political developments, following statements made at the Umno General Assembly. Loke expressed concerns over the recent remarks, which raised questions about political certainty and stability, potentially impacting investor and public confidence in the nation.

He emphasized that these developments were met with serious consideration, and he would request Anwar, who serves as the PH chairman, to convene a Presidential Council meeting upon his return from his overseas trip. Loke stated that some of the statements were not conducive to political certainty and stability, as component parties within the government appeared to be moving in different directions.

Consequently, he argued that such a situation would not instill confidence in investors or the general public, and it is crucial for the Prime Minister to address this issue with all component parties directly.
