Crowds gather momentum at Jacaranda Ground ahead of planned Linda Mwananchi rally

Embark on a journey with Embakasi East MP Babu Owino, as he invokes the Holy Bible ahead of the much-anticipated Linda Mwananchi Nairobi rally. The rally, expected to draw a massive crowd to Jacaranda Grounds in Embakasi East, marks the climax of the movement's nationwide mobilisation campaign. During a message shared on Sunday morning, September 13, 2026, Owino drew inspiration from Deuteronomy 20:4, portraying God as accompanying his people in battles and granting them victory.

"For the Lord your God is he who goes with you to fight for you against your enemies, to give you the victory," he quoted. This biblical message underscores the movement's determination to proceed with the rally despite previous confrontations and attempts to disrupt their activities. The rally, scheduled to commence with a worship service at All Saints Cathedral at 9:00 am, will see the Linda Mwananchi entourage traverse several parts of the city, culminating at Jacaranda Grounds for the main event at 2:00 pm.

Despite security concerns raised by the Nairobi Regional Police Commander Issa Mohamud, who warned of potential confrontations and urged political leaders to control their supporters, the rally proceeds as planned. Babu Owino, a vocal advocate for the rally, has cautioned against the use of goons to disrupt the event, emphasizing the movement's commitment to peaceful participation.
