Why didn't Rishabh Singh Sambyal marry? Retired Major on the ‘personal sacrifice’ of being the President's ADC

Rishabh Singh Sambyal, the ex-President of India's Aide-de-Camp, has revealed the most challenging aspect of his career - the personal sacrifices he had to make, including the inability to marry. In an interview with Raj Shamani, Sambyal, who served for 12 years in the Army, discussed his role as the President's ADC and the demands it placed on his personal life.

He explained that the ADCs to the President are not allowed to get married, and he had to stay away from his family, which he considers the biggest sacrifice. Sambyal said that his role didn't make him feel lonely, but rather provided him with space and time to reflect on himself. He enjoys being alone for at least an hour every day, using that time to evaluate his thoughts and emotions.

Despite not knowing about the ADC role initially, Sambyal accepted it after a series of exercises and consultations with his commanding officers. He shared that the rigor of the role made him feel a sense of loneliness, but he turned that loneliness into a positive experience by using it to evaluate himself.
