Osun: Police, PCRC deepen collaboration, launch safe school initiative

The Osun State Police Command has reinforced its partnership with the Police Community Relations Committee (PCRC) by launching the Safe School Initiative. This initiative aims to enhance security in schools throughout the state. The Safe School Initiative was announced by CP Ibrahim Zungura, the Commissioner of Police for Osun State, during a meeting with Alhaji Mogaji Ibrahim Olaniyan, the National Chairman of the PCRC, and other key stakeholders.

The initiative is designed to foster greater collaboration among the police, PCRC, and other stakeholders to create safer and more secure learning environments for pupils and students across Osun State. CP Zungura emphasized the command's commitment to this partnership, stating, "We are committed to strengthening collaboration with the PCRC and other relevant stakeholders to ensure that our schools remain safe and secure environments for pupils and students."

He also expressed gratitude to the PCRC leadership and other stakeholders for their support in strengthening the relationship between the police and the community. CP Zungura reiterated the police command's dedication to maintaining ongoing partnerships with relevant stakeholders to promote peace, security, and safety across Osun State.
