PH sedia tanding solo di PRN Melaka, kata Adam Adli

Melaka's PKR chief Adam Adli stated that the Pakatan Harapan (PH) party is prepared to contest all seats in the Melaka PRN if no formal dialogue is held with Barisan Nasional (BN). According to Bernama, Adli said that the lack of formal dialogue does not diminish PH's readiness and that the party is prepared to contest all contested seats.

Adli emphasized that the opposition parties have the right to make their own decisions on whether to contest or not. He added that even if they contest all contested seats, it should not be an issue as they have been preparing in this manner before. Adli also stated that the political rivalry leading up to the PRN Melaka should not undermine the relationship and social harmony in the state.

Moreover, during the three years of forming a unity government in Melaka, the PH MLA has provided good cooperation to the state government. "It is up to the people to make their choice and we are ready to face the upcoming PRN with a new spirit," said Adli. The Melaka government term ends on December 31, after which elections must be held within 60 days.

Both PH and Perikatan Nasional are trying to reach an agreement with BN, which currently holds 20 out of 28 parliamentary seats. PH and BN are allies at the federal level but their relations have deteriorated following BN's decision to form a coalition with PN in the Negeri Sembilan PRN, which resulted in a two-thirds majority victory for the coalition.
