PH ready to contest all Melaka state seats if necessary, says Adam Adli

Melaka: Pakatan Harapan is prepared to contest all 28 seats in the upcoming Melaka election if necessary, according to Acting PKR chief Adam Adli Abd Halim. This statement came in response to inquiries about the coalition's readiness for the polls, which have surfaced due to reported discussions between PH and Barisan Nasional, currently governing the state with a two-thirds majority.

Adli emphasized that the decision to negotiate or not is solely up to individual parties and that the coalition has the capability to contest all seats, something they have done in the past.

Previously, Melaka Chief Minister Datuk Seri Ab Rauf Yusoh suggested that the Barisan Nasional would only initiate negotiations after the dissolution of the Melaka State Assembly, which he believed would occur soon. Adli reiterated that the Melaka PH aims for the upcoming elections to be a healthy contest, not a cause for division. He reiterated that elections should not compromise the harmony of the state.
