Here Is A List Of The World's Most Expensive Smartphones: Where Does The iPhone Duo Rank?

Apple's latest iPhone Duo, its first foldable device, has entered the market as the world's most expensive smartphone, with a starting price of Rs. 2,99,900 in India. This marks an increase of roughly Rs. 30,000 since the iPhone 17 Pro Max's launch last year, which began at Rs. 1,49,900. However, even these high prices are dwarfed by the truly extravagant costs of some other phone models.

At the top of the list is the Vertu AlphaFold, a British luxury phone priced at Rs. 6.56 lakh (approximately $8,450). Built around an AI system called Hermes Agent and featuring an 8.05-inch inner display, this phone's cost is due to its enterprise-focused features and titanium construction.

Following Vertu AlphaFold is the Vertu Ironflip, priced at Rs. 3,14,700 (about $4,330), which is built with a titanium alloy frame, a unique diamond-like water-drop hinge, and a 50-megapixel camera. It even supports both standard Android and a Web3 operating system, making it a highly specialized device.

Coming in third is Apple's own iPhone Duo, priced at Rs. 2,99,900 in India. This foldable device features a 7.6-inch inner display and a 5.4-inch outer screen, and is powered by the new A20 Pro chip. While this puts the iPhone Duo in the upper echelon of smartphone prices, it still trails behind the Vertu Ironflip by a significant margin.
