Apple unveils RM8,134 passport-shaped foldable iPhone Duo [WATCH]

CUPERTINO, California: On Wednesday, Apple unveiled the Duo, a foldable iPhone priced at US$1,999 (approximately RM8,134). The Duo is shaped like a passport, with rounded edges, and opens into a large 7.6-inch-wide (19 cm) screen that can also be viewed vertically. When folded, the phone features a smaller single screen on the front.

Apple positioned the Duo as a business productivity device, showcasing its ability to handle multiple applications and video conferencing. The company emphasized that the Duo will deliver an iPad-like experience in a pocket-sized device, thanks to its custom hinge, dual displays with a consistent aspect ratio, and a titanium body.

Apple introduced the A20 chip and a new C2 modem chip designed by Apple, marking its departure from Qualcomm. Analysts believe the iPhone Duo will create a premium growth opportunity for Apple, opening up a new revenue stream and boosting the iPhone business.
