Sharjah Police recover stolen amber prayer beads worth over $100,000 within 24 hours

Sharjah Police swiftly recovered a collection of amber prayer beads worth over $100,000 after two suspects were arrested within 24 hours of a theft report. The case started when a Chinese national advertised the valuable beads on social media and later reported them stolen. A seller contacted the victim, saying they were interested in purchasing the entire collection.

The victim was lured to a Sharjah location where the suspects allegedly stole the beads. Specialized teams within the Criminal Investigations Department launched an investigation, using technology to identify the suspects and track their movements. The suspects were found in a neighboring emirate and arrested, leading to the recovery of the beads in less than 24 hours.

Police emphasized the importance of caution when buying or selling valuable goods online, urging people to verify identities and conduct transactions in safe locations.
