Tirumala residents felicitate SVBC chairman

Sri Venkateswara Bhakti Channel (SVBC) chairman B. Sridhar Varma addressed the residents of Tirumala on Monday (September 7, 2026), promising to remain approachable and resolve their grievances without compromising his official duties. "I will serve Lord Venkateswara and also repay the debt I owe to the people of Tirumala," Varma stated at a felicitation event organized by locals at a private Kalyana mandapam in Tirupati.

As a native of Tirumala, Varma pledged to tackle local issues while fulfilling his role as SVBC chairman. He also stated his intention to promote Lord Venkateswara's fame worldwide, in alignment with Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu's vision. Thousands of Tirumala residents, traders, women's groups, and politicians of all affiliations attended the event, praising his appointment as a source of pride for the town.
