Kewan Lacy injury update: Latest news after Ole Miss RB exits game

Ole Miss football running back Kewan Lacy has exited the team's Week 1 game against Louisville with an apparent injury, the Clarion Ledger reports. Lacy left the match in the 5:28 mark, trailing the Cardinals 3-0. The injury occurred during a run play in the middle of the field. Lacy was pushed backwards by multiple Cardinals, who tackled him forcefully.

He was helped off the field and managed to walk to the sideline predominantly on his own power. Remarkably, Lacy returned to the game after just one play. He was used as a decoy on a designed run for quarterback Trinidad Chambliss, who gained a first down on a rush but subsequently fumbled. Makhi Frazier, a Michigan State transfer, replaced Lacy for one play.

Frazier managed only a rush for zero yards. This season, Lacy has rushed for 1,567 yards and scored 24 touchdowns, making him one of the top stars in college football.
