The film showcased Mammootty's exceptional talent for embodying multiple characters in a single performance.

Later, the author watched Kaathal: The Core, where Mammootty played a closeted gay man. The film's bedroom scene between Mammootty and Jyotika was particularly memorable, as it conveyed the actor's transformation through restraint and subtlety. This breakthrough led the author to appreciate the range of Mammootty's performances across various genres.

From a feudal sorcerer in Bramayugam to a disabled daughter in Peranbu, a timid clockmaker in Bhoothakkannadi, a subordinate in Thaniyavarthanam, and a hunter in Mrugaya, Mammootty's versatility left the author in awe. Despite the author not having seen most of the actor's extensive filmography, they now understand why Mammootty is regarded as one of India's greatest actors and why he has become their favorite.
