US envoys have 'more effective proposals': Ukraine official

Ukrainian officials have received more effective proposals to end the conflict with Russia from US envoys Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner, according to a senior Ukrainian presidential official. The envoys, who met with President Volodymyr Zelensky earlier in the day, stated that the talks were the most important part of their efforts.

While no breakthroughs were announced, the official emphasized that the proposals were more effective than before. The US envoys traveled to Kyiv, Ukraine's capital, after meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Moscow. Zelensky expressed hope for reaching agreements with American and European partners, particularly if the war continues into the winter.

The Russian side has stated its confidence in advancing its territorial claims, which are unacceptable to Kyiv. The US delegation arrived in Kyiv by train, with the "Peace Express" written on the platform at Kyiv Central Station.
