Pakistan condemns demolition of century-old mosque in India

Pakistan has strongly condemned the demolition of a century-old mosque in Saharanpur, India. This action, according to the Foreign Office Spokesperson Sajjad Haider Khan, is a clear example of the growing Islamophobic and Hindutva-driven campaign aimed at erasing Islamic heritage. He emphasized that the demolition of the historic Babri Masjid in 1992 remains a potent symbol of this ideology of religious intolerance, prejudice, and hatred.

Khan urged the international community to acknowledge the systematic persecution of Muslims by Indian authorities and the ongoing desecration and destruction of their places of worship under state support. He stressed that Indian authorities must be held responsible for such actions against the religious freedoms and cultural heritage of minorities, particularly Muslims.
