Israel ataca de nuevo el sur del Líbano y acusa a Hezbolá de lanzar drones contra sus soldados

The Israeli military launched airstrikes again into southern Lebanon on Sunday, accusing the Iranian-backed militia Hezbolá of sending drones against their troops. The Israeli army said in a social media post that "Hezbolá terrorists launched two drones against soldiers operating in the southern Lebanon security zone." They explained that their forces shot down one of the drones.

The military added, "In response, the IDF (Israeli Defense Forces) is carrying out attacks in southern Lebanon." The army emphasized that its forces will continue operating in the Lebanese territory "to eliminate any threat to Israeli civilians and soldiers," according to EFE.

Specifically, Israeli military forces issued an evacuation warning for areas near an Arab Salim building in southern Lebanon, which they bombed, claiming it was a Hezbolá base. The Lebanese militia has not commented on the matter so far. The attacks in this region continue despite the truce reached in April and the U.S.-sponsored agreement in June.

The pact aims to disarm Hezbolá and complete Israel's withdrawal through simultaneous progress in "pilot zones," which the Lebanese army must clear of weapons and militia members. According to the Lebanese Health Ministry data released last Friday, Israeli airstrikes have left a death toll of 4,353 and over 12,000 injuries since March 2.

Additionally, according to the International Organization for Migration (IOM), over 300,000 people remain displaced, as Israel continues its occupation of 620 square kilometers (6% of Lebanon) in the border area.
