After Derek O’Brien, Abhishek Banerjee, cops summon Humayun Kabir in Camac Street case

Kolkata police have summoned Humayun Kabir, the former Trinamool Congress MLA, over an incident at the party's Camac Street office. Kabir was served with a summons for the third time to appear before the police, this time on September 7. The summonses were issued following a scuffle when law enforcement officers removed an allegedly illegal billboard from the office premises last month.

Kabir claimed that the KMC officials intended to destroy the billboard, and that proper procedure should have been followed, including a prior inquiry by the Trinamool Congress representatives. He denied allegations of police being heckled, stating that his staff had collected the summons on September 8. Additionally, summonses were issued to TMC MPs Derek O’Brien and Abhishek Banerjee, along with others, for their alleged involvement in the incident on August 27.
