iPhone Ultra battery: here's what we know so far

The iPhone Ultra battery is a major point of concern, as Apple is aiming to create a foldable with the thinnest profile ever seen in an iPhone. With a projected battery capacity of 4,883 mAh, the iPhone Ultra would fall near the bottom of the pack compared to its main competitors. Samsung's Galaxy Z Fold 8 and Pixel 11 Pro Fold both offer capacities of 4,800 mAh and 4,806 mAh, respectively, while even more extreme cases like the Motorola Razr Fold and Oppo Find N6 have 6,000 mAh batteries.

Despite the smaller capacity, Apple could still achieve solid endurance by leveraging the rumored A20 Pro chip, which is said to be built on TSMC's 2nm architecture. This advanced manufacturing process could significantly reduce power consumption, making up for the smaller battery size. Still, even with the A20 Pro, the iPhone Ultra is unlikely to match the 14+ hours of endurance shown by the current leaders like the Motorola Razr Fold and Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra.
