Iran hit by 3 ships, retaliates against US with double 'revenge'… vicious cycle of retaliatory attacks

The US and Iran have exchanged attacks on warships and oil tankers, escalating tensions. The Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) Navy said it had attacked three oil tankers and three US-linked ships for allegedly using unauthorized routes. The US Central Command had earlier said it had struck three Iranian oil tankers in response to an Iranian missile launch at a US warship. The US warned it would continue to target Iranian oil tankers if attacks persist.
