Two US sailors sent back to USS Abraham Lincoln after drunken brawl in Pattaya

Two US sailors from the USS Abraham Lincoln were returned to the ship after a drunken fight near Pattaya's Walking Street in Thailand, according to Thai police. The incident, described as trivial, involved the sailors getting drunk and fighting, causing loud noise. Local residents had called the police to prevent the situation from escalating.

Neither sailor was charged as they did not violate any Thai laws, according to Colonel Anek Srathongyoo, the city police chief. The USS Abraham Lincoln's arrival has drawn global media attention due to reports of deteriorating living conditions on board after 280 days at sea, as well as the spotlight on Pattaya's nightlife and reputation for sex tourism.

Authorities had carried out a crackdown on sex workers prior to the ship's visit, but there have been no other notable incidents since the Lincoln docked.
