Dell’s new 14S laptop is another colorful competitor to the MacBook Neo

Dell's new 14S laptop is a colorful competitor to Apple's upcoming MacBook Neo, according to reports from IFA 2026 in Berlin. The affordable Windows laptop features an aluminum build, up to a 2.8K 120Hz display, and an impressive battery life of up to 21 hours. The new 14S comes in four color options: Linen Dusty rose, Washed denim, Velvet green, and the original celestial blue (which was prone to fingerprint marks).

It features the same sleek design as its predecessor, weighing just 1.15kg. The new model uses Intel Core 5 and Core 7 Series 3 processors, which is a step down from the mid-range Intel Core Ultra 7 355 chip used in the previous version. However, it still delivers solid performance for everyday tasks such as browsing, writing, streaming, and productivity.

The laptop offers two display options: a 16:10 2.8K, 120Hz display for sharper images and smoother motion, or a 2K, 60Hz screen for those prioritizing battery life and value. Dell has not announced pricing yet, but it's expected that the 14S will compete with the MacBook Neo in terms of affordability and design.
