Lenovo reveals iMac rival that upstages Apple with more goodies at a lower price

At the International Frankfurt Fair (IFA) 2026, Lenovo unveiled its latest all-in-one desktop, the IdeaCentre AIO i, which aims to challenge Apple's iMac. This new machine features a color scheme similar to the iMac, with six available options: Dreamy Violet, Radiant Coral, Zen Green, Luna Grey, and Cloud Grey. Lenovo collaborated with the Pantone Color Institute to select these hues.

The Lenovo IdeaCentre AIO i comes in two screen sizes: 24-inch and 27-inch, both offering full HD resolution and 350 nits of peak brightness. A standout feature is its 120 Hz refresh rate, surpassing Apple's iMac. Another notable difference is the touch-sensitive panel on the Lenovo desktop. Under the hood, the IdeaCentre AIO i is powered by up to an Intel Core 7 350 processor, with storage options ranging from 512 GB to 1 TB.

The desktop also includes a 5-megapixel IR camera and a variety of ports, such as six USB ports, an HDMI combo slot, a headphone jack, and a wireless charging deck. Priced at EUR 999 (approximately $1,160), the Lenovo IdeaCentre AIO i is set to launch in European markets in November. This new model competes with Apple's iMac, which typically starts at $1,499 in the US.
