Circular unveils Ring 3 series with contactless payments and on-finger vibration alerts

Circular, the smart ring manufacturer, announced its upcoming Ring 3 series on Thursday. The line-up comprises a Pro model and a Slim option, both equipped with an integrated NFC chip for contactless payments, vibrating alerts for alarms and reminders, and advanced health monitoring features. The Ring 3 Pro boasts a sleeker design compared to its predecessor, and boasts FDA-cleared ECG for Afib detection, blood pressure tracking, glucose monitoring, advanced sleep analysis, and comprehensive biometric tracking.

Its battery life lasts up to 12 days. On the other hand, the Slim model is thinner and lighter, offering basic health and wellness tracking such as sleep, heart rate, HRV, SpO₂, skin temperature, and daily activity. It also lasts up to 10 days on a single charge. Circular's CEO, Amaury Kosman, explained that the company recognizes that not everyone desires every health feature; thus, the Slim model provides a more compact and stylish solution with essential wellness insights and secure NFC payments.

Both models come with on-finger vibrations that can be used for silent alarms, medication reminders, health alerts, and breathing exercises. They are made from titanium steel, are water-resistant up to 50 meters, and support wireless charging. The Ring 3 models are available in sizes 6-14 and in gold, rose gold, silver, and black.

Pricing and pre-orders for the smart rings will be revealed in the coming months, with the rings expected to hit the market in early 2027.
