Circular’s new smart rings do something Oura and Galaxy Ring can’t

Circular has unveiled two new smart rings, the Ring 3 Pro and Ring 3 Slim, at the IFA trade show. While both versions share similar features such as activity and sleep monitoring, they also boast unique capabilities that set them apart from existing smart rings like Oura and Galaxy Ring.

The standout feature of the Ring 3 Pro is its FDA-cleared ECG functionality, which allows users to monitor their heart activity. Additionally, this model offers blood pressure monitoring and boasts a larger battery capacity, providing longer usage time. In contrast, the Ring 3 Slim, while lighter in weight, still supports NFC payments and vibration alerts via its companion app.

Both models incorporate contactless NFC payments, enabling users to make purchases without the need for a physical card. Moreover, they both come equipped with a vibration motor capable of delivering silent alarms or other alerts, enhancing user convenience without compromising on privacy. However, the Ring 3 Pro's advanced functionalities make it a compelling choice for tech-savvy consumers seeking a more comprehensive smart ring experience.
