UP Govt Allocates ₹101.49 Crore To Strengthen Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalayas, Boost Girls' Education Infrastructure

Lucknow, September 2 - The Uttar Pradesh government, under Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath's leadership, has allocated ₹101.49 crore to enhance the infrastructure of Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalayas, strengthening girls' education facilities. The funds will be used for six major construction projects, including the addition of dormitories, repair of old buildings, renovation of toilet blocks, construction of guard rooms, septic tanks, and erection of boundary walls.

These improvements aim to create safer, cleaner, and better-equipped residential educational institutions.

The Uttar Pradesh Housing and Development Council has been appointed as the executing agency for the project, and the government has released the prescribed amount against the approved cost. The construction works have begun, with District Basic Education Officers directed to coordinate with the executing agency to accelerate progress and ensure timely completion.

The initiative reflects the Yogi Government's commitment to providing better facilities for girls' education in Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalayas. By expanding residential capacity, upgrading sanitation facilities, and enhancing security infrastructure, the government aims to create an environment that supports the educational journey of young girls.

As Minister of State (Independent Charge), Basic Education Sandeep Singh emphasized, this expansion is a crucial aspect of the government's commitment to providing quality education in a safe and well-equipped school environment.
