Surekha attacks Revanth, seeks continuation in Cabinet

Endowments Minister Konda Surekha confronted Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy and demanded to remain in the Cabinet following a meeting with AICC president Mallikarjun Kharge in New Delhi. She questioned the Congress leadership's decision to hold her accountable for remarks made by her daughter, Sushmita. Surekha stated she had expressed her position to the party's central leadership and asked to continue serving.

She maintained that her daughter was a married and independent woman, not responsible for her comments. Surekha also criticized the party's handling of complaints against other leaders and questioned the initiation of a show-cause notice against her. She alleged that different standards were being applied within the party and raised concerns about representation of backward classes.

Surekha asserted that she had not been asked to resign and intended to continue her duties as a Minister without corruption allegations.
