Valencia sign Liverpool’s Elliott on loan

Liverpool midfielder Harvey Elliott has been signed by Valencia on a loan deal until the end of the season, according to BBC Sport. The 23-year-old has expressed his enthusiasm for the move, stating that he wanted to come to Valencia to play regularly and experience a different league. Elliott, who arrived in Spain on Monday, is grateful for the opportunity presented to him by the La Liga club.

He is currently awaiting the decision of the coach, Andoni Iraola, on whether he will be included in their upcoming matches. This is Elliott's second consecutive season on loan from Liverpool, having spent the previous season at Aston Villa. Elliott was previously a part of the Liverpool team during pre-season but was later left out of the squads to face Newcastle and Nottingham Forest under the new head coach.

The midfielder, who signed with Liverpool from Fulham when he was just 16 in 2019, has had a stint on loan at Blackburn Rovers in the Championship in the 2020-21 season. Valencia did not qualify for European competitions last season after finishing ninth in La Liga. The team is currently sitting at 16th place after failing to secure a win in their first three matches of the campaign.
