Man City sign Fernandez, Ndiaye as Premier League clubs set new spending record

On deadline day, Premier League clubs broke their previous transfer record of £3.1 billion as Manchester City made a major splash. Arsenal had a quiet deadline day after failing to secure winger Gabriel Jesus from Atletico Madrid, who instead signed for Barcelona. Liverpool's new signing, Belgian forward Bradley Barcola, is set to join the club from Paris Saint-Germain for £123 million. Liverpool also completed the loan signing of goalkeeper Lucca Brughmans from Genk and signed center-back Taylor Harwood-Bellis from Southampton for £29 million.

Tottenham secured loan moves for Chelsea winger Mykhailo Mudryk and Tosin Adarabioyo, while Newcastle added Belgium forward Matias Fernandez-Pardo from Lille for £51 million.
