Camara's £47.1m move from Monaco to Chelsea collapses

Lamine Camara, the Senegal midfielder, will remain at Monaco despite Chelsea's £47.1m attempt to sign him collapsing. The 22-year-old had already undergone a medical with Chelsea but the deal fell through just after the 23:00 BST transfer deadline. Initially, Chelsea faced two rejected bids from the Ligue 1 side before they agreed to lower their asking price following Folarin Balogun's move to Everton coming into question.

Chelsea aimed to strengthen their midfield and midfield options after Enzo Fernandez's record-breaking £125m move to Manchester City.
