Man City chase Fernandez, Arsenal eye Alvarez on transfer deadline day

Manchester City is pursuing a major signing in Enzo Fernandez, while Arsenal is targeting Julian Alvarez in a last-minute transfer effort. The Gunners are also considering a loan move for Tottenham's Cody Gakpo. Liverpool has acquired Bradley Barcola from Paris Saint-Germain for £123 million and is searching for another winger to replace Mohamed Salah, who moved to Trabzonspor in August.

Crystal Palace and Brighton are on Liverpool's list of targets, potentially clearing the way for Cody Gakpo's departure. Liverpool forward Harvey Elliott is expected to join Valencia on loan after a disappointing stint at Aston Villa. Tottenham aims to sign Chelsea winger Mykhailo Mudryk on loan after failing to secure Ndiaye. City's Jack Grealish is set to return to Everton on loan after a season with David Moyes' side, following a season-ending foot injury.

Everton is close to signing United States forward Folarin Balogun from Monaco for £40 million. Newcastle striker Nicolas Woltemade is expected to join Juventus on loan.
