Man City chase Fernandez, Arsenal eye Alvarez on deadline day

Manchester City is in pursuit of Enzo Fernandez from Chelsea, while Arsenal is targeting Julian Alvarez. With the transfer window closing soon, both clubs are making frantic last-minute efforts to bolster their squads. City is prepared to match Chelsea's £120 million valuation for Fernandez, who had considered a move to Real Madrid last season.

City's former Chelsea boss, Enzo Maresca, is interested in reuniting with Fernandez, who is also eager to return. City is also set to sign Senegal midfielder Iliman Ndiaye from Everton for £65 million, a target initially pursued by Tottenham. Arsenal's ambition is to sign Argentine striker Julian Alvarez, who reportedly prefers a move to Barcelona.

However, Atletico Madrid might be persuaded to sell Alvarez for £128 million. Arsenal striker Ethan Nwaneri is set to join Borussia Dortmund on loan. Meanwhile, Liverpool is negotiating the signing of either Brighton's Yankuba Minteh or Crystal Palace's Ismaila Sarr. The Reds are also close to completing the loan of Liverpool's Harvey Elliott to Valencia.

Tottenham is targeting Chelsea winger Mykhailo Mudryk on loan. City's Jack Grealish is expected to return to Everton on loan following his departure from Manchester City. Everton is on the verge of signing United States forward Folarin Balogun from Monaco for £40 million. Newcastle striker Nicolas Woltemade is set to join Juventus on loan.
