Israeli attacks on Gaza intensify with five killed in last 24 hours, says health ministry

Israeli military intensified its attacks on Gaza, resulting in five fatalities within the past 24 hours, according to the Palestinian health ministry. On Tuesday morning, at least seven air strikes targeted an area west of Gaza City within a 10-minute span, claiming the life of a child. Additionally, Israeli soldiers opened fire in Deir el-Balah, causing another child's death.

Palestinian journalist Abdulrahman Ismail reported that the attacks in Gaza City were directed at an area near a field hospital and thousands of tents housing displaced Palestinians. Quadcopter drones then encircled the region, firing upon anyone moving and dropping explosives, while clashes could be heard nearby. Israeli drones were also seen patrolling Gaza City, accompanied by smoke bombs near Al-Shati.

Ismail noted that the situation resembled earlier incidents involving Israeli special forces operating on the ground, though the specifics remain uncertain. People are still trapped in the affected area, according to Ismail. Mai Elawawda, Communications Officer for Medical Aid for Palestine in Gaza, stated that Israeli military attacks have persisted throughout the week, with everyone constantly anxious about potential evacuations or attacks by Israeli forces at any given moment.
