GFA to hold workshop for Premier League coaches ahead of new season

The Ghana Football Association (GFA) is set to host a one-day workshop for coaches in the Ghana Premier League, aimed at the upcoming 2026/27 season. This online event will gather head coaches from all Premier League clubs for a session focused on raising technical standards, promoting professionalism, and ensuring a shared comprehension of critical issues before the new campaign. The workshop will be headed by Dr. Joseph Kwame Mintah, the GFA Technical Director, alongside officials from the Technical Directorate.

The primary goal of the workshop is to facilitate a dialogue between coaches and the technical directorate regarding their roles and responsibilities, with a strong emphasis on technical and administrative facets to guarantee the seamless operation of the competition. Special attention will be given to the conduct and duties of team officials, underscoring the importance of discipline, professionalism, and compliance with competition regulations.

By the end of the workshop, participants are expected to receive valuable guidance and practical insights as they finalize preparations for the new season.

The 2026/27 Ghana Premier League is scheduled to commence on Saturday, September 5, 2026, with Vision FC facing off against Young Apostles at the Nii Adjei Kraku II Sports Complex in Tema New Town.
