Akwa Ibom gov names five new aides

Akwa Ibom State Governor Umo Eno has officially appointed five new aides to oversee various mobilization efforts throughout the state. The appointments were announced in a statement released by the State Secretary, Prince Enobong Uwah. The newly appointed aides include Mrs Mercy Eka, who will focus on senior citizen mobilization; Ms Blessing Ossom, tasked with grassroots mobilization; Obongama Jimmy, responsible for youth mobilization; Dr (Mrs) Alice Etuk, leading women's mobilization; and Smart Samuel Usanga, handling additional youth mobilization duties.

These appointments are set to commence on September 1, 2026. The state government expressed its congratulations to the new appointees, wishing them success in their roles. The appointments are anticipated to enhance the administration's interaction with crucial groups, including youths, women, senior citizens, and grassroots communities throughout the state.
