Nine Koreans rescued from Nepal floods return home

Nine out of ten Koreans, stranded by flooding in Nepal, have returned home, according to their employer, Doosan Enerbility Co. All nine employees, who were part of a construction team working on a hydropower plant in Nepal's Rasuwa district, arrived in South Korea on Monday afternoon. They were immediately subjected to health checks upon their arrival, with no serious health concerns requiring hospitalization.

The nine employees are reported to be physically and mentally fatigued due to the sudden disaster and their prolonged period of being stranded. The remaining employee, the site manager, remained behind to continue aiding in search and rescue efforts. The nine rescued workers were part of a larger team of ten, working on the hydropower project when a massive flash flood and subsequent mudslide hit the area on Wednesday.
