Man City sign Palmeiras winger Allan for £34m

Manchester City have secured the services of Brazilian winger Allan Elias from Palmeiras in a deal valued at up to £34.2 million. The 22-year-old forward, who has signed a five-year contract with the English club, was handed an initial fee of £32 million with additional add-ons totaling £2.2 million. Allan is set to be a direct replacement for palmaeiras' Savio, who recently transferred to Tottenham Hotspur for a reported £75 million.

The right-sided player made a significant impact during his five-year tenure at Palmeiras, netting nine goals and providing 12 assists in 96 appearances in all competitions. Reflecting on his move to Manchester City, Allan expressed his excitement, stating that joining the club is a dream come true for him. The signing of Allan is the latest addition to Manchester City's squad during a busy summer transfer window. The club has spent over £230 million so far, adding players such as Elliot Anderson from Nottingham Forest for £116 million and Ayyoub Bouaddi from Lille for £85.6 million. City is also in talks with Liverpool to acquire Dutch forward Cody Gakpo, as well as Chelsea midfielder Enzo Fernandez.

However, Manchester City remains focused on bolstering their squad further. So far, the club has generated over £286 million through player sales, including Rodri's £65 million transfer to Barcelona and Reijnders' £52 million move to Al-Qadsiah. Other notable sales include Nico Gonzalez and James Trafford, with Omar Marmoush's loan to Tottenham including a potential £60 million fee upon completion.
