Comedian AY compares African juju to US driverless technology [Video]

Nigerian comedian Ayo Makun, popularly known as AY, recently shared a video comparing his experience riding in a driverless Uber in the United States to the use of "juju" in Africa. The comedian detailed the incident in a video, showing the car navigating by itself and bringing him to his destination. "See na this car dey drive by itself.

Na my own Uber be this, e don dey carry me go where I dey go," AY remarked. He explained that he unlocked the vehicle using his phone and initiated the ride with his phone as well. Reflecting on the technological advancements he witnessed, AY commented on the reaction of Africans when foreigners claim they are superior. "When oyinbo dey tell una say them no be una mate, una go dey follow them dey argue ‘Una go dey use una own juju dey do different thing, dey kill people for Africa,’" AY stated. The comedian mentioned that this encounter with the driverless Uber occurred on his birthday.
