Liverpool agree €35m deal for 6ft 7in teenage goalkeeper

Liverpool have reached an agreement with Belgian club Genk to sign 18-year-old goalkeeper Lucca Brughmans for a fee of around €35 million. Andoni Iraola's team has a verbal understanding with Genk to bring Brughmans on board, pending his successful medical examination. Titled "The One Rule That Matters: do not copy the source's wording," the report confirms the deal will see the young shot-stopper begin his Anfield journey in 2027, following a season spent with Genk.

However, that timeline could shift if Giorgi Mamardashvili, the current backup goalkeeper, departs before the transfer deadline. Genk's 6ft 7in prospect has made 12 senior appearances since transferring from PSV Eindhoven's youth academy in 2022.
