West Ham unlikely to land Wolves' Krejci

West Ham's pursuit of Wolves defender Ladislav Krejci appears destined to fall short. The London-based club expressed interest in the Czech international, who is capable of playing both in defense and midfield. However, it is believed that Krejci is unwilling to compete in the second tier, which makes a move to West Ham problematic.

Furthermore, Wolves themselves are not inclined to sell a player to another club in the Championship, their immediate league rival. This summer, Leeds United showed interest in Krejci, but opted for Nico Elvedi and Tarik Muharemovic as replacements instead. The 27-year-old joined Wolves from Girona last season, initially on loan before a permanent transfer.

He registered two goals in 32 appearances across all competitions as the club were relegated from the Premier League. Krejci did make a substitute appearance in the Carabao Cup win against Port Vale earlier this month, but has yet to feature in league matches for Wolves boss Cesar Peixoto this season. Wolves are keen on retaining the Czech Republic international until the transfer deadline on Tuesday.
