Full Report: SIGA releases 2025 State Ownership Report on performance of state entities

The State Interests and Governance Authority (SIGA) has unveiled its 2025 State Ownership Report, offering an in-depth evaluation of Ghana's state entities' financial, operational, and governance performance. The report, titled "Resetting the Economy for a Better Ghana," scrutinizes the performance of state-owned enterprises, joint venture companies, and other public institutions spanning sectors such as finance, energy, transport, agriculture, health, and infrastructure.

The report identifies entities that showcased improvements in revenue, profitability, assets, liquidity, and service delivery. Conversely, it also highlights institutions grappling with losses, mounting liabilities, weak internal revenue generation, and operational inefficiencies.

Furthermore, the report scrutinizes the execution of government policies, institutional restructuring, recapitalization endeavors, and governance reforms aimed at enhancing accountability and amplifying the contribution of state entities to Ghana's economy. SIGA believes that the insights gleaned from the report will enable policymakers and the public to gain a more precise understanding of the financial health and performance of state institutions.
