Full Report: SIGA releases 2025 State Ownership Report on performance of state entities

The State Interests and Governance Authority (SIGA) has unveiled its 2025 State Ownership Report, offering a thorough evaluation of the performance of Ghana's designated entities. The report, titled "Resetting the Economy for a Better Ghana," scrutinizes the financial, operational, and governance performance of state-owned enterprises, joint venture companies, and other public institutions across various sectors such as finance, energy, transport, agriculture, health, and infrastructure.

It identifies entities that have shown progress in revenue, profitability, assets, liquidity, and service delivery, as well as those facing losses, increasing liabilities, weak internal revenue generation, and operational inefficiencies. Moreover, the report scrutinizes the implementation of government policies, institutional restructuring, recapitalization initiatives, and governance reforms aimed at enhancing accountability and boosting the contribution of state entities to Ghana's economy.

The results of this analysis are anticipated to offer policymakers and the public a more precise understanding of the financial health and performance of state institutions, thereby guiding interventions to bolster efficiency, sustainability, and value creation.
