Dolly Parton Estate Sets Two-Day DollyFests for Nashville and London in 2027, Says These ‘Parties of a Lifetime’ Will Take the Place of a Public Memorial

Celebrations honoring the life and work of country music legend Dolly Parton are set to take place in both London and Nashville in 2027. The DollyFest, a star-studded two-day event, will be a testament to Parton's enduring legacy. The specific dates for the festival have yet to be announced, but the estate confirmed that it will be a replacement for the original DollyFest that was planned for January 2026.

Parton herself had envisioned this event where she would perform alongside other renowned artists, but the initial event was postponed due to her health issues. DollyFest will serve as a tribute in lieu of a traditional public memorial, which Parton preferred not to have. Danny Nozell, the event's organizer, emphasized that the festival is a fitting way to honor Parton and allow fans and artists to participate, while also providing time for grieving and planning.

Born in the Smoky Mountains of Tennessee, Parton was an iconic figure in country music, winning 10 Grammy Awards and selling over 100 million records worldwide. Her music, including hits like "Coat of Many Colors," "Jolene," and "I Will Always Love You," showcases her dedication to songwriting and her role as an artist. Since her passing, Dolly Parton has been celebrated by celebrities, politicians, and countless fans on social media, with many quoting "What Would Dolly Do?" as a tribute to her memory.
